Child Support

Interpretive Guide to Tennessee Child Support & Guidelines.

Effective June 26, 2006, Tennessee adopted the Income Shares model of child support guidelines. The income shares model compares both parents’ incomes and considers the number of days each parent spends with a child per year as well as other financial information relating to expenses paid on the behalf of a child. Once these amounts are considered, the monthly child support obligation will be calculated on a child support worksheet. You can view the child support worksheet here.
